Teacher hits out at own school

A teacher at a school in north China’s Hebei Province condemned it online for making pupils sit a test outside on a day when the air was polluted.
The anonymous teacher also posted three pictures showing children at the Linzhang County No. 5 Primary School in Handan City surrounded by smog.
Handan has been one of China’s most-polluted cities. On Wednesday it was “severely polluted,” while by 5pm yesterday it was still “slightly polluted.”
“Don’t joke with children’s health,” was one comment in response to the Weibo posting. “Why can government officials work indoors while children have to bear pollution?” was another.
An official with the local educational bureau told The Beijing News they weren’t aware of the situation. The school couldn’t be reached for comment, the newspaper said.
