Teacher suspected of molesting 19 girls

A MIDDLE school teacher in northern China's Hebei Province has been detained for allegedly molesting 19 girls aging from eight to 11.
Qin Linmao allegedly fondled his niece, a student named Qin Li, and gave her one yuan (15 US cents) to keep quiet, Hebei Youth Daily reported today.
However, the girl later told her parents and alleged that some of her classmates had also been sexually harassed, the report said.
A total of 19 girls were said to have been molested, and their parents told the school principal, who called police.
The suspect tried to escape through a window when police arrived. The case is still under investigation.
