Teen 'mistaken as gang boss'
A GUANGDONG teenager who had never left the south China province has been accused of heading a robbery gang in east China's Zhejiang Province, her family said.
Her family said Lin Beixin's identity card had been stolen and could have been used by the gang, leading to her capture, today's Information Times newspaper reported.
The woman has been handed over to Zhejiang police according to procedure, Guangdong police said.
Lin, 19, from Lufeng County, was caught by Guangzhou police on the night of July 16, her family said.
She had lent her identity card to an underage friend to visit a Net cafe where police in a regular check found out she was a wanted fugitive in Zhejiang's Yiwu City, the report said.
