Teenager kills 5-year-old girl to vent anger on her parents

A 15-year-old boy in Jiangxi Province was detained for killing a 5-year-old girl on Saturday because he said the girl's parents used to taunt him, the Jiangxi Daily reported today.

Fuzhou City police said the victim identified as Xiao Yu lived next door to the boy surnamed Wu. On Saturday evening, their parents went out to play mahjong, leaving the two kids to play together.

Later Xiao Yu's parents found their daughter missing, but they thought she might be at her grandma's home nearby and didn't take it seriously.

The next day they still couldn't find their daughter and they realized something very bad happened. They called the police.

The police later found Xiao Yu's body on the roof of a house and her clothes in a garden next to Wu's home. They soon narrowed their search to the teenage boy. At first, Wu said he was playing on the Internet all night, but police found his computer logging time that night was only two hours.

Wu eventually admitted to killing the girl. He said he brought her upstairs to watch cartoons and he was playing games on the Internet. Then he remembered that the girl's parents used to taunt him, and acting on an impulse, he put his hands over her nose and mouth until she was breathless.
