Teens watch TV after fatally stabbing youth

TWO cold-blooded teenagers are said to have killed another boy and gone back to watch TV after they committed the alleged murder in a central China county, Sanxiang City Express reported yesterday.

A 14-year-old boy, identified as Xiao Zhe, got into a fight with a 12-year-old, identified as Xiao Xin, after Xiao Zhe splashed mud on Xiao Xin while he was playing with firecrackers on January 18 in Shaodong County in central China's Hunan Province, two witnesses said.

Xiao Zhe called his classmate, going by the nickname Xiao Chuan, to help him beat up Xiao Xin. "I saw Xiao Chuan stab Xiao Xin with a knife," a witness said.

Xiao Xin was taken to hospital after police arrived, but he died on the way.

When the police arrested the boys at their respective homes, they were watching TV, a police officer said

"I found my son lying on the ground … I shouted at him after feeling his heartbeat. He opened his eyes slowly, but he had very weak breathing and couldn't talk," said Xiao Xin's mother Tang Xian'e.

Tang said her son suffered two wounds, one to the throat and the other to the chest.
