THREE people died and 14 others were hospitalized after being poisoned by unidentified toxic waste in Zhejiang Province, a local official said yesterday.
Seventeen workers in a reclamation depot fell sick on Sunday as they were loading a batch of plastic waste in Dongyang City, said an unnamed official with the Dongyang government. The official said the remaining 14 were still receiving medical treatment. The local government is working to identify the toxic waste.
