Tian's Dive Into Acting Proves A Success
FORMER top Chinese diver Tian Liang impressed director Andrew Lau with his performance in "A Beautiful Life."
Tian, who won Olympic gold medals at Sydney in 2000 and Athens four years later, turned his talents to acting for his role as an autistic young man.
"The surprise this time was Tian Liang," Lau said.
"He was very hardworking. He bought many books about autism. He studied how autistic people speak. And I was very happy that he even mastered the gestures of autism sufferers."
