Tibet offers US$48,000 reward for terror tips

AUTHORITIES in southwest China’s Tibet Autonomous Region are offering rewards of up to 300,000 yuan (US$48,000) to people who provide information regarding terror attacks.
The offer applies to tip-offs about overseas terrorist organizations and their members’ activities inside China, the spreading of religious extremism, terror-related propaganda, those producing, selling and owning weapons, activities that help terrorists cross national borders and terror activities via the Internet. People can report tips via the “110” hotline or at their local police department.
