Tomorrow declared 'day of mourning' in Sichuan
THE government of Sichuan Province in southwest China declared tomorrow a day of mourning for the 196 people killed by a powerful earthquake last week.
People across the province will observe a three-minute silence from 8:02am, the same moment a week ago when the deadly earthquake struck Ya'an City. Air-raid sirens, car horns and ship sirens will wail for three minutes in mourning.
The provincial government said all public entertainment activities will be banned for one day tomorrow.
