Top engineer accepted 'huge bribes'
THE former chief engineer of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has been sacked from his post and expelled from the Party for accepting "huge bribes," and leading a dissolute life, according to the ministry's website yesterday.
Su Jinsheng's illegal income has been confiscated, the ministry said in a statement.
He was taken away for investigations in March, the ministry said, without revealing more details.
Su's last public appearance was on March 11 at the Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China.
Su may be implicated in the corruption case involving executives of China Mobile Ltd, the country's largest telecoms carrier, Caixin Online earlier reported an insider saying.
Li Hua, former general manager of China Mobile's unit in southwest China's Sichuan Province, is among those under investigation.
