Tot in stroller killed by speeding car

A 9-MONTH-OLD baby died of severe head injuries yesterday after a driver crushed the tot’s stroller against a wall and refused to back up or get out of the car, local media reported today.
The horrific scene happened as the baby’s mother was pushing the stroller at a garage in Kunming, the capital of Yunnan Province.
An Audi automobile sped up and ran into them at the exit of the garage as the mom was heading toward the elevator at 11:41am in the Meijingxincheng Community in Beiqu District, the report said.
The stroller was trapped between the car and the wall but the driver refused to do anything despite the mother’s cries, the report said.
More than 10 residents worked together to lift the car and rescue the baby after nearly one minute, according to surveillance video. But the tot died of severe head injuries on the way to Xinhua Hospital for emergency treatment.
