AN unidentified poisonous gas leak last night at a garment factory in Jiangjin District, Chongqing Municipality has left at least five people dead, local government said today.
The accident happened at about 10:20pm at the Chongqing 3533 garment dyeing general factory. Eight people were affected, among them five were confirmed dead, two were seriously poisoned and one slightly poisoned. The three are being treated at a local hospital.
Investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
