Trying to crack secret of 'golden eggs'

CHINESE web users have started a craze trying to make "golden eggs" - boiled eggs with the yolk and white perfectly mixed.
But alas, few seem to have cracked how to do so.
According to a popular online post, if you vigorously shake a fresh egg, the yolk and egg white will mix.
Then boil the egg and peel the shell to reveal a uniformly light yellow-colored "golden egg."
Many netizens have attempted to follow these instructions, plus variations - some even proposing swinging the egg in a silk stocking for greater mixability.
But their exertions have just left them with sore shoulders rather than the elusive golden egg.
"I shook an egg - just like waving nunchaku (connected martial arts sticks), for around 10 minutes, but just got a very white egg! I'm tired in my heart," one microblogger complained on Weibo.com.
Despite their failures, many netizens are still determined to persevere.
"It would be good news for egg producers and vendors," one netizen said.
