Twin boys reported for HK telecom tycoon Li

RICHARD Li, the Hong Kong-based Internet and telecom tycoon, has become a father again, this time parenting twin sons with his girlfriend Isabella Leong, local media quoted a reliable source as saying yesterday.

Leong, a former Hong Kong actress, gave birth to the twins at the end of last month in San Francisco with Richard Li in attendance, the source said.

Leong's manager, Michelle Lo, told Hong Kong media she had no comment.

Richard, now the father of three sons, informed friends of the good news after he returned to Hong Kong for business.

His eldest son Ethan, also with Leong, was born last April in Canada.

It was reported that the couple, though not married yet, had tears in their eyes when the twins were born.

Richard Li, the younger son of Hong Kong's richest person Li Ka-Shing, sent Leong and Ethan back to Hong Kong from Canada at Christmas to await delivery.

He even booked a hospital in Hong Kong, but a disclosure of Leong's whereabouts allowed paparazzi to track her down.

Richard then sent Leong to San Francisco after the Lunar New Year to wait for delivery.

The pair proudly published family photos and released news of their excitement after their first son was born. Even Li Ka-Shing gave statements in his excitement.

But this time, lips are sealed.

According to Forbes Rich List 2010 published this March, Li Ka-Shing was the 14th richest person worldwide with assets of US$21 billion.

Richard Li was estimated to own about US$13.3 billion.
