Two Chinese firms agree to sponsor, participate in World Expo 2015 in Milan

TWO Chinese private companies signed agreements today to sponsor and participate in the World Expo 2015 in Milan.

Apparel manufacturer Bosideng, based in Jiangsu Province, and furniture maker Holike in Guangzhou will exhibit on fashion and designs in the China Corporation Joint Pavilion.

Information on the design of the China Corporation Joint Pavilion has been publicized under the theme "Chinese seeds."

Many state-owned enterprises such as the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China and Baosteel have confirmed their participation at the pavilion.

The architecture of the China Pavilion, shaped in the form of rippling wheat, will stretch for 4,590 square meters, and the core exhibition concepts will be "heaven, Earth, humanity and harmony," said Wang Jinzhen, general representative of the China Pavilion.

The Milan Expo will last from May 1 to October 31, 2015.

Its theme, "Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life," is aimed at raising awareness of hunger and the impact of waste.
