Both vehicles were severely damaged when they careered through a tunnel guardrail, before smashing into walls at speeds of more than 160 km/h, according to the Beijing Traffic Management Bureau.
Pictures circulating on microblog Sina Weibo show the totaled luxury cars in a tunnel, with pieces scattered on the ground.
One of the drivers was injured in the accident, the bureau said, adding that both were unemployed.
The case caused quite a stir on the Internet, particularly as "Furious 7", the latest installment of the street-racing "Fast and Furious" franchise, premiered in Chinese cinemas on Sunday.
"A warm-up activity for the new movie, perhaps?" read one comment on Weibo.
"Even 'employed' people drive luxury cars," mocked another netizen.
