Two killed in central China hotel attack

TWO people died and another person was wounded during a fight at a hotel in central China's Hunan Province, police said today.

The attack broke out around 8 pm yesterday in a tea bar of the Fulihua Hotel in Changsha, the provincial capital of Hunan, local police said.

During the fight, people slashed others with knives, said witnesses, adding they heard gunshots. Police have denied there were gunshots.

The injured person, who has no life dangers, is being treated in a local hospital.

Police have captured four suspects in connection with the attack, said the Changsha Public Security Bureau.

A debt-related dispute is believed to be the cause of the attack, according to initial investigations by police.
