AN airport is being built on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau in northwest China’s Qinghai Province. The Huatugou airport will cover an area of 180 hectares, said the Qinghai Airport Co, with an investment of 700 million yuan (US$114 million). The airport will have 3,600 meters of runways and construction is due to be completed within the year.
