University shows plan for campus
THE University of Macau has unveiled the latest design plans for its new campus slated for construction on Hengqin Island in Guangdong Province, Macau Post Daily reported yesterday.
Principals, teachers and students from local middle schools, as well as representatives from the Chinese Educators Association of Macau were invited to the session at the university's campus in Taipa on Monday to provide feedback on the latest design.
The newspaper quoted University of Macau Rector Zhao Wei as saying that the plan was still in development, but "the design has entered the final stage."
Zhao did not give an opening date for the new campus, nor did he reveal when the groundbreaking ceremony would occur to mark the beginning of construction.
