The vice president of Zhejiang University in east China has been arrested on suspicion of occupational crime, confirmed the Zhejiang Provincial People's Procuratorate today.

Chu Jian, 50, was appointed vice president of Zhejiang University in February 2005. He served as deputy of the 10th National People's Congress from 2003 to 2008.

The case is under investigation.
