Viewers get crack at ‘Voice of China’ by submitting videos via app as season set to start

VIEWERS can participate on their microblogs and even upload videos of themselves singing this summer as the third season of the popular singing competition series “The Voice of China” raises its curtain on Zhejiang Satellite TV.
Untapped musical talent will be discovered during the show, and fans can upload their videos of themselves singing using the Tencent app, the show’s producer Star China announced today.
Grammy award-winning music professionals will also be invited to the production of the show.
The show is expected to be the only singing reality show aired on China’s satellite TV this summer. The four-member jury panel has not been decided yet.
“It will become more international,” says Tian Ming, CEO of Star China. “We will also work with top music companies to propel the development of the domestic music industry.”
