Visa free travel to Jordan
China has signed an agreement with Mauritius and Jordan on visa exemptions for regular passport holders starting from October 31, Shanghai Daily learned yesterday.
The government is working to ensure Chinese passport holders can get “visas on arrival” in more than 20 countries by the end of this month.
China is also in talks with Thailand over visa exemptions for regular passport holders, according to Premier Li Keqiang.
Britain said it will make it easier for Chinese citizens to obtain visas as it seeks a bigger percentage of Chinese travelers.
Under the proposals, Chinese tourists visiting the European Union using selected travel agencies will no longer have to file a separate application to visit Britain, which is not a part of the EU’s “Schengen Area” for border-free travel.
Young and well educated Chinese consumers with a rising passion for leisure trips will ensure that mainland white-collar tourists will travel the most in Asia-Pacific this year, according to travel deal publisher Travelzoo Inc.
