Water Cube reopens as swimming park
THE National Aquatic Center, better known as the Water Cube from Beijing's Olympics, is expected to reopen early this month as a multifunctional recreation center featuring a world-class water amusement park after a nine-month renovation.
The indoor park covering 10,000 square meters will have wave machines and seven-story high slides, reported Beijing Times today.
Shopping arcades, cafes, and performance stages are also included in the complex.
It will stop selling tickets for public tours after it reopens. The new admission fee has not been confirmed by authorities.
Other Olympic venues including the archery range, tennis courts and hockey rink in North Olympic Forest Park will reopen to the public at the end of this month.
