Wen warns of economic woes
CHINESE Premier Wen Jiabao has warned about problems in the country's economic development despite the economy's positive momentum, a government statement said yesterday.
Wen visited businesses, research institutes and communities in Tianjin from Thursday to Friday on the sidelines of the fourth Ministerial Meeting of the China-Arab Cooperation Forum, the statement said.
"We should be confident of maintaining favorable economic development as we have made progress. But we should be aware of difficulties and challenges," Wen said.
He pledged the government would follow development of the economic situation and carefully adjust policies.
