Woman, 60, stabs auto tires for excitement

A 60-year-old woman admitted puncturing the tires of dozens of vehicles parked in a residential complex in Yongning County of northwest Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region and her reason was to "seek excitement."
The woman surnamed Wang stabbed the tires of about 30 vehicles parked in her neighborhood twice on June 8 and 10, causing over 30,000 yuan (US$4,627) in losses, China.com reported today.
Security guards and police were to patrol in the area following the accident. On the early morning of June 12, they caught the suspect piercing the tires again. But it surprised everyone that the culprit turned out to be an old woman.
Wang said she did the prank simply to look for excitement. She liked to see cars sink a few centimeters after the tires were stabbed. She took a walk in the complex on the evening of June 8 because she couldn't sleep. After seeing cars parked along the road, she slashed tires with a knife on impulse. She felt thrilled by the act, got addicted and did the prank again the next evening.
Wang has been detained by police.
