Woman executed for murdering son, daughters to take revenge on husband discovering her affair with first love
A woman was executed in southern China today for murdering her three children after her husband found she was having an affair with her ex.
Feng Xiujuan, a farmer in Shaoguang in Guangdong Province, killed two daughters and a son before committing suicide in October 2013, but she was rescued later with none of the children survived, the Shaoguang Intermediate People’s Court heard.
Feng committed the crime after her husband found she kept a sexual relationship with her first boyfriend and scolded her. She told the court that she wanted to make her husband “regret for life".
She then took the three children to the Shaogang Reservoir at 7pm on October 22. She threw her four-year-old son and five-year-old daughter into the water and then strangled her eight-year-old elder daughter to death inside a grass land beside the reservoir. She then cut her own wrist in bid to commit suicide.
Police were alarmed after someone spotted the boy’s body in the reservoir the next day afternoon.
Police later found Feng being unconscious and her senior daughter’s body meters away.
Police said Feng failed to cause major injury to herself and she recovered soon after being sent to hospital.
