Woman guard gets jail term for scratching cars

A female security guard was sentenced to six months in prison with a one-year reprieve for scratching 11 vehicles in her work place.
The 46-year-old convict, surnamed Liu, worked as a security guard in a factory that belongs to Beijing Yanshan Petrochemical Co Ltd. She felt she was paid too little and vented her anger by scratching cars parked in the factory.
Surveillance videos soon led to her arrest and Liu confessed to her crime and said she lost her mind.
She was given a lenient sentence because she expressed remorse and her family compensated the victims for damages which cost 5,179 yuan (US$830.71) in total.
