Woman paid for unprotected sex for 4 years after HIV diagnosis gets 2 years in prison

A WOMAN who began accepting payment for sex after she was diagnosed with an HIV infection four years ago was sentenced to two years in prison and fined 3,000 yuan (US$484), a court in Taiyuan in Shanxi Province announced. 

The woman, surnamed Guo, confessed that she had had unprotected sexual relations with others since 2009 when she was infected with HIV.

It was not disclosed whether those who had sex with her later tested positive for HIV.
