Woman probed after show-off photos spark outcry
THE woman who pretended to be a member of a military art troupe and bragged her wealth and drunken driving on the Internet has been located.
Chen Shoufu, a press officer of the People's Liberation Army Second Artillery Corps, said the woman who claimed to be Liu Yuanyuan, a member of the art troupe under the Second Artillery Corps, is now under investigation.
"She used a fake identity to spread indecent information to tarnish the image of Chinese armed forces," Chen said on his official microblog on t.people.com.cn.
Photos posted by the unidentified woman showed she was driving a Porsche, carrying a Hermes handbag, wearing designer sunglasses, and feasting on lobsters.
