Woman stabs 9 sleeping train riders

A MIDDLE-AGED woman allegedly used a 15-centimeter knife to stab nine passengers sleeping on a train in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province early yesterday morning.
The victims have been treated in a hospital and are cooperating with railway police, according to dbw.cn, a Web portal in the province.
One of the victims surnamed Wang told a local news Website that it was quiet on train K7019 from Heilongjiang's capital Harbin City to Hebei Province when he felt a sudden pain in his leg around 2am this morning.
He was sleeping on a lower berth on the train and saw a woman in her 40s walking toward another passenger and carrying a 15-cm knife.
Hearing other passengers cry in pain, he saw a few travelers jump up to catch the woman. Wang joined in and she was soon brought under control. Railway police then arrived.
Wang later realized he had been stabbed in the leg.
