Woman's body found in downtown Hangzhou

THE body of a woman who was apparently raped and murdered was found yesterday evening in downtown Hangzhou, capital of east China's Zhejiang Province.
The gruesome discovery was made in a greenery area near West Lake Avenue around 10:30pm by another woman who was walking her dog, Hangzhou Daily reported today.
Police has cordoned off the area and forensic experts are inspecting the scene. A red dress was laid out close to the body and a pink handbag was placed on a stone bench next to the greenery area, the report said.
"The woman was in her 20s and her pants were taken off," the owner of a nearby cigarette store told the newspaper.
Police is still investigating the case.
