Women's group draws frowns for watching adult films
A women's rights group in Taiwan sparked a controversy after it invited volunteers to watch adult films and comment on their social impact.
The Taipei Women's Rescue Foundation, set up in 1987 to help sex workers return to normal life, issued a notice on its website to invite 20 volunteers to participate in its adult film seminar.
It said the volunteers must be over 18 years old, have watched adult films for at least five years, know the Japanese porn star Sora Aoi, and regard adult films part of their life.
"We invite volunteers from different walks of life to watch adult films and share their views in a serious discussion about the social impact of adult films," the notice said.
Taiwan media said hundreds of people have applied to take part in the activity.
