Xi鈥檚 delight in Dushanbe

CPRESIDENT Xi Jinping arrived in Dushanbe, the Tajikiistan capital, yesterday for the 14th summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and a state visit.
Xi said he was delighted to be visiting Tajikistan for the first time and said both countries “should seize the current favorable opportunities to promote bilateral neighborly friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation to a higher level in a timely manner.”
Xi said he was looking forward to exchanging views with all parties at the SCO summit on major issues of the organization as well as international and regional issues of common concern, charting the future development of the SCO and promoting cooperation in all aspects.
“I believe the summit will play a bigger role for all countries in jointly dealing with threats and challenges and promoting common development,” he said.
