Yunnan mudslide kills 8 while 38 still missing
AT least eight people were confirmed dead in a landslide that happened this morning in Zhaotong City, Yunnan Province, according to a CCTV news report.
About 46 people in 16 households in Zhaojiagou Village are feared buried by the landslide around 8:26am, the report said.
But the exact number of people buried in the mud is unclear as rescue operation is still going on.
More than 300 rescuers have rushed to the scene and have dug out eight bodies and saved one injured villager, the CCTV reported.
