City-level officials sacked over graft accusations

TAN Chunyu, former deputy director of the Standing Committee of the People's Congress in Yichang City of Hubei Province, and Zhang Yanchen, former deputy director of the Standing Committee of the People's Congress in the province’s Xiaogan City, have been sacked over alleged disciplinary violations.
They both abused their power to seek benefits for others and accepted huge bribes, according to the investigation.
Tan and Zhang now face a criminal investigation, according to the province’s discipline inspection commission.
