Former Anhui vice governor sacked over disciplinary violations
安徽省原副省长严重违纪被双开

THE former deputy director of east China's Anhui Province has been sacked from his post and expelled from the Communist Party of China for serious disciplinary violations, China's top disciplinary watchdog said.

Initial investigations found Ni Fake, 59, took bribes himself or through his relatives and helped others gain illegal benefits. Ni incurred severe violations of discipline and laws, the watchdog said.

He will be handed over to the judicial department for criminal investigation.

Ni, a native of Jiangsu Province, began his career in Anhui in 1970 and joined the Communist Party of China in 1973.

He held senior positions in local agricultural authorities before being promoted to Party chief in Nanling County in 1992, official data showed.

Ni was deputy mayor and later deputy Party chief in Wuhu city between 1994 and 1998. He became the Party chief in Liu'an city in 2002.

In January 2008, he was promoted to deputy provincial head.
