Former officials named in bribes probe

FOUR former officials from north China’s Shanxi Province are under investigation on suspicion of accepting bribes, the Supreme People’s Procuratorate said in a statement yesterday.

They include Liu Xiangdong, former member of the Party’s provincial committee and head of the committee’s discipline inspection group, and Yin Xiping, former Party chief and director of the traffic management bureau under the provincial public security bureau. The other two suspects, who have also been arrested, are Liu Suiji, former director of Taiyuan’s public security bureau, and Tian Zhiming, former Party chief of Xiangyuan County.

Prosecutors in Shanxi have been tasked with investigating them, the SPP said.
