BAI Enpei, a senior official from China's top legislature has been put under investigation for "serious discipline and law violations," the discipline inspection agency said today.
Bai is deputy head of the Environmental Protection and Resources Conservation Committee of the National People's Congress. The CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection announced the news in a statement on its website.
Bai served as Party secretary of Qinghai Province between 1999 and 2001, and served as Party secretary of Yunnan Province in 2001 and 2006.
