NIE Chunyu, member of the Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Shanxi Provincial Committee and secretary-general of the CPC Shanxi Provincial Committee, has been expelled from the Party and removed from the public office, according to the CPC discipline watchdog. 

According to the investigation, Nie abused his power to seek benefits for others, take huge bribes and commit adultery.

He has been transferred to judicial departments for criminal investigation and prosecution.
