Boiler blast kills 6, knocks down building in Shaanxi

A natural-gas boiler exploded today inside a residential complex in the northwestern Shaanxi Province, killing six and injuring another, Xinhua News Agency reported.
The blast occurred around 9:40am in a three-storey building on Mengshan Road in Xingping City and the building collapsed, a city spokesman said.
The victims were residents in the building and some property management workers, the spokesman added.
The injured person has been sent to a local hospital but it was not yet known if the injury was life threatening or not, he said.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
