Chinese officials hurt in Ukraine car crash

FOUR members of a delegation headed by Shanghai Party Secretary Yu Zhengsheng were injured in a road crash in Ukraine yesterday, a Guangzhou-based newspaper reported today.
The driver who caused the head-on crash died at the scene, while one of the three Chinese vice consuls in Ukraine suffered a fractured skull. Three others were slightly injured, the report said without naming them.
Yu, a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, is leading a delegation on an official visit to Ukraine.
