Cop plots fake crime scene and shoots actor dead

A policeman in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province is facing charges for shooting and killing an innocent man in a staged kidnapping drama in July, today's Yangcheng Evening News reported.
Li Caikun, who joined the police in 2008, plotted the kidnapping drama on July 1. The victim was invited to act like a robber holding a hostage and Li shot him in the head, an official with the Longgang police bureau told the newspaper.
The unnamed official said the bureau and investigators found the case suspicious the next day and reported to the Shenzhen Public Security Bureau.
Both the chief and deputy chief of Li's police station have been sacked after the incident, he said. But how the victim got involved in Li's fake crime plot is still unknown and police investigation is ongoing.
