Drunk woman's ram raid injures 5

A WOMAN has been detained by police in Zhengzhou City accused of endangering public security after allegedly ramming a car three times into migrant workers sitting or sleeping outdoors on Thursday night.

Li Lili, 29, was first seen driving her red Mazda 3 slowly through the southern entrance to the open ground in Zhengzhou, capital of Henan Province, at about 10pm and injuring five people, Qu Lijun, Miaoli police director, told today's Zhengzhou Evening News.

Migrant workers from building sites nearby had been sleeping there on hot nights before the incident.

Since Li had drunk a lot and was unsure what had happened, she returned to the ground through the northern entrance to check the site but hit several more workers, two seriously, the report said.

She again returned about 10:30pm but fled when dozens of workers intervened.
