Incest father arrested after daughter tells it all to police

A 50-year-old man was arrested in south China's Guangdong Province for sexually harassing and raping his daughter for nearly a decade, the local Information Times reported today.
The Haizhu District People's Procuratorate in Guangzhou, the provincial capital, issued the arrest warrent after the daughter told police recently.
The daughter, now 22, said her father, surnamed Hu, started assaulting her sexually from 2000 when she was a primary school pupil. She said she was raped in July 2004 when she was 16 and raped again in July this year. Finally she decided to call police.
Hu's wife told police that her daughter had complained about her father's harrassment but she refused to believe it. Fearing a negative impact on the family, she opted to keep silent for many years.
