Police catch 74-strong gang

POLICE in Zhenzhou city have broken up a gang of thieves with up to 74 members, Dahe.cn, the portal Website of Henan Province, reported today.
Gang members confessed to more than 3,000 theft cases around the country. They travelled among different provinces and thought June to August the best months to steal in Zhenzhou, the report said.
They had committed crimes in 31 villages out of the 59 they had targeted in the past two months.
They had also visited other cities including Shanghai, Xi'an, Jinan, Wuhan, and Tianjin for the purpose of theft, according to the report. Most of the gang were from Anhui Provionce.
