Reward in hunt for gun thief

A REWARD of 100,000 yuan (US$14,706) is being offered by the Public Security Bureau of Heilongjiang Province for information about a man who stole a policeman's gun.

Wang Houjun allegedly assaulted a railway policeman and stole his gun in Daowai District of Ha'erbing city on May 5 this year, the bureau said. It is asking for clues to catch the suspect, northeast.com.cn, the portal Website of Heilongjiang reported today.

Wang, 38, a native of Heilongjiang Province, is 1.72 meters high, of medium build and has dark skin. He has short hair, small eyes and vitiligo (white patches) on his arms and legs, the bureau said.

Wang was wearing shabby battle fatigues and blue jeans and was wearing gloves. He was carrying a black bag containing an axe, a green woven bag, green plastic cloth, a black satchel and a red waist pack.
