Preserve old buildings
DEAR editor,
I have read an article recently about the environment in your newspaper.
The whole planet just doesn't understand one thing: We must not waste.
A big problem in China is the housing market. You build wonderful buildings and after only 30 years you destroy them.
A building can last 100 years or 200 years, if properly used.
You waste so many raw materials and so much energy because you destroy and destroy valuable buildings, buildings that are perfect.
Your lao gongfang (old buildings) are absolutely perfect, they can last 150 years more.
