A SUPER 15 appeals committee has overturned a 10-week ban to Melbourne Rebels lock Adam Byrnes for making contact with an opponent's eye during a match on March 2. SANZAR said in a statement yesterday that there was insufficient proof to sustain the charge. Byrnes was initially banned by a judiciary officer who found him guilty of dangerous play in making contact with New South Wales center Tom Carter's eye area.
