Blackburn fires top club official
BLACKBURN has reportedly fired its deputy chief executive after a letter he sent five months ago warning the club's owners of its likely relegation from the Premier League was made public.
Sky Sports News said that Paul Hunt had been fired by Indian poultry firm Venky's. British newspapers reproduced a letter from Hunt to Venky's after it was apparently leaked to a website. Blackburn was relegated to the second-tier League Championship on Monday, 18 months after Venky's bought the club.
