Bolton loses Lee

BOLTON said South Korea midfielder Lee Chung-yong has been ruled out for at least nine months after breaking his leg in a preseason friendly for the Premier League club. The 23-year-old Lee underwent an operation on Saturday after his lower right leg was broken in two places during Bolton's 3-1 win at non-league Welsh club Newport earlier in the day. Lee was carried off on a stretcher during the first half following a challenge from Tom Miller. The South Korean joined Bolton from FC Seoul two years ago.
